Technology > Overview

ProtAffin is developing biopharmaceuticals targeting protein-glycan interactions using decoy proteins. By developing glycan-binding biopharmaceuticals, ProtAffin avoids many limitations of established drug modalities, such as monoclonal antibodies and small molecules. The Company’s CellJammer® discovery technology generates biopharmaceuticals that cause potent down-regulation of protein function. The approach is applicable to 500 targets contained in PrtoAffin’s proprietary database, including chemokines and growth factors. The Company has applied its technology to generate drug candidates in the fields of inflammation, respiratory and oncology.
